Citation

Whereas, it is a tome honored Brooklyn tradition to recognize those individuals and organizations that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to promoting excellent and providing outstanding services and support to local residents and those in need, it is therefore fitting that we join in acknowledgment of their special events and occasions; and

Whereas, all of Brooklyn joins today to recognize and honor Norela Berrio Tejeda 2014 Program Committee Chairperson of the New York City-Wide Head Start Policy Council, at the momentous occasion o the 50th Anniversary of Head Start Programs in the United States of America; and

Whereas, on behalf of all Brooklynites, I salute Norela Berrio Tejeda who volunteers her time and energy to serve on the Policy Council to effect positive change in the community and in the lives of the parents and children they proudly serve; I applaud her for being and advocate for Head Start Programs and early education efforts in Brooklyn; I commend Norela Berrio Tejeda for her dedicated service to the New York City-Wide Head Start Policy Council; and I thank her for all that she has done to touch and improve the lives of many, helping to move our communities forward as One Brooklyn;.
